*Boys dive warm up will begin immediately following Boys swim prelims competition. Boys dive competition will begin 1 hour after warm ups.
DOORS OPEN & SEATING: The facility will open for athletes and coaches only at 11:30 AM on Wednesday and Thursday. Doors open at 12:30PM for spectators on Wednesday and Thursday. Doors open at 11:15 AM on Friday morning. Spectators must sit in the grandstand (upstairs). This area
will accommodate approximately 700 spectators. No folding chairs will
be allowed in the grandstand area. Team members who are not competing in
the session will not be permitted on the deck. No parents will be
allowed on the pool deck without a GCSDBC security badge.
PARKING: Parking is available on facility premises. Vehicles parked in “No- Parking” areas (e.g., yellow curb or grass) are subject to being towed. We encourage everyone to carpool or ride share.
VOLUNTEERS: Each team has been assigned volunteer worker positions. Teams submit the names of those volunteers to the county board. Volunteers must check in at the Worker Table in the lobby of the West Gwinnett Aquatic Center (to the right of the gate table). There they will receive their worker badge and instructions on where to report and when. **Volunteers receive free entry for the session they are assigned to work.**
CONCESSIONS: Concessions will be available in the hallway outside the spectator seating on the 2nd floor of the aquatic center. No food or glass containers will be allowed on the pool deck.
ADMISSION & HEAT SHEETS: All Spectators ages 5 and up must purchase a ticket through GOFAN to enter each session. Cash will not be accepted for admission. Tickets are $9.00 per session. Prelims heat sheets will be available for $5 cash, $6 through GOFAN. The price of the Finals Heat Sheet will be $2 cash, $3 through GOFAN. *This meet will not be available on SwimTopia. Online results will be available through Meet Mobile.
FORMAT: This will be a Prelims/Finals meet.
- The top 30 swimmers will compete in Finals of each individual event.
- Swimmers with the 10 fastest prelim times will swim in the Championship Finals A Heat.
- Swimmers with the11th-20th fastest prelim times ,will swim in the Consolation B Heat
- Swimmers with the 21st-30th fastest prelim times will swim in the Bonus C Heat.
- No more than 4 swimmers from each team can qualify to compete in the Finals of a specific individual event. An exception to this rule will be made, if there are open lanes available after seeding the fastest swimmers based on this “maximum of 4 swimmers per team” requirement. In this case, additional swimmers will be manually seeded into that Finals event to fill any open lanes. These additional swimmers will be exhibition only, and they will be seeded in the open lanes of the first heat based strictly upon their swim times during Prelims.
- Relay events will be swum during Prelims and Finals sessions. Only the fastest relay from each team will compete in Relay events during Finals.
- During the Finals session, Relays1-10 (based on fastest Prelims time) will swim in the Championship Finals A Heat. Relays 11-20 will swim in the Consolation-B Heat.
AWARDS:Awards will be based on order of finish during Finals for places 1-30
- Medals–1st-10th
- Ribbons–11th–30th
Team Trophies will be awarded to the Champion, Runner-up, Third, Fourth,Fifth and Sixth Place Boys and Girls teams.
AWARDS PRESENTATION: Awards for the top 10 performers in each event will be presented during breaks at the Finals Session. Diving awards will be distributed at diving event on Friday. Those divers that can attend Sat at Finals will also be recognized during the first break for awards.
