FORMAT: Championship Diving Cuts
- GHSA state meet information can be located at https://www.ghsa.net/ghsa-diving-forms-and-info . Divers wishing to qualify for State must have state DD.
- For the Preliminary round, all divers will compete 6 dives.
- First dive will be Voluntary dive of diver’s choice. Max DD is 1.8.
- Then divers will complete 5 optional dives ,one from each of the 5 groups.
- Dive position can be updated when the diver steps on the board (not the dive or dive number). The rule requires that the lower DD be used for scoring purposes. Dive position can be updated 60 minutes prior to competition. The rule allows that the higher DD be used for scoring purposes (if the new position is higher rated).
- After preliminary round, the top 10 divers will advance to the finals. They will compete 6 dives, following the guidelines for the preliminary round. Divers may change dives for the finals providing they still follow the guidelines. Each school may place 4 Boys and 4 Girls in the final round. Any divers that are not in the top 4 for their school will be cut from finals. Scores from the prelims and finals will be cumulative. The 12-dive total determines the place of finish.
- To score points for their team at county the diver must score 130 points.
- The best 6 dive score is used to seed the event and create the dive order. Divers using 11(NP) dive qualification scores shall be seeded by lot at the beginning of the diving order as stated in the GHSA rules. The diver with the best 6 dive score (highest) is seeded last. Divers who are entering using the 11-dive score need to be entered in SwimTopia with team entries as NP (no points) – they will be seeded by lot at the beginning of the order.
ENTRY LIMIT: Entrants may be entered in a total of 4 events (Max. 2 individual). Each relay and each diving entry counts as one event towards the 4. Once entered in an event, the entrant is expected to dive that event.
DIVERS ENTRIES: All divers must fill out the 6-dive form on divemeets.com by Wednesday 1/21/26 at 5 PM.
